Kimble Announces Winter 19 To Increase Business Forecasting Accuracy And Improve Sales Forecasting

Leading professional services provider announces new analytics dashboard extension and guidance for business forecasting

October 16th, 2018 – Kimble Applications, a global leader in professional services automation, today announced an update to its core product, Intelligent PSA. The latest release extends analytics and guidance in the domain of forecasting. Winter 19 builds on Kimble’s strength as a Salesforce-native PSA by adding tools that increase business forecasting accuracy and make sales forecasting easier.

From the beginning, Kimble has tried to encourage managers to concentrate their energy on the future – using revenue, margin, and resource forecasts to take appropriate action. After all, you can only really affect the future.

“Now we are helping users answer the question ‘How good are we at forecasting?’ That’s why we’ve themed the release around Intelligent Forecasting.”

In Winter 19, a forecasting accuracy dashboard provides analytic tools that compare historic forecasts with current forecasts. They inform the user whether their revenue forecasts are becoming more or less accurate, and by how much. Users can see how likely the business is to hit its targets for the next few months based on how accurate their predictions have been in the past.

A new wizard also helps sales people move all project elements out when a close date slips. This applies to managed services, project milestones, tasks, resource assignments, and associated costs. Users can configure Kimble to automatically update downstream dates when the close date moves, or they can make adjustments to the amount of slippage on each item before the wizard finalizes the changes.

Winter 19 will be deployed to customer sandboxes at the end of the month. As a result of a major initiative to allow all customers to take advantage of the latest features in the Kimble application, more than 90% of customers will have adopted a “push” release approach by the end of 2018.
