Kimble Connect San Francisco: The Future of Work

At Kimble’s first user conference on the West Coast, Kimble customers and partners from all over North America and beyond gathered to learn more about the Kimble PSA application, but also to meet other customers, and to discuss some of the wider business challenges that lie ahead in the 2020s.

David Lee from Kimble customer MSS Business Transformation, a strategic advisory services firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, gave the conference keynote: “Unpredicability, Responsiveness, and the Future of Work”. The presentation explored the evolution of business dynamics beyond org charts, and laid out the case for why strategies like Agile and Responsive are being used to empower employees to navigate volatile marketplaces and get closer to their customers – ideas which informed the rest of the presentations throughout the day.

The conference was in the Museum of the African Diaspora, allowing delegates to explore the art exhibits during breaks in the event. Attendees said they loved the venue and they were also interested in the non-Kimble topics which added a “creative buzz” to the day.

There were plenty of sessions that focused on exciting features, new and old, in the Kimble product: one session focused on enhancements in Kimble’s Winter 20 release; another on how to use Kimble in the sales process. David Lee returned to the stage in the afternoon to talk about driving adoption through change management, a session co-hosted by Kimble VP Customer for Life Chris Hamilton.

As at London Connect, Product Manager Mark Clewett led a session on Kimble’s Executive Dashboards, elucidating the value of having dedicated dashboards that break down KPIs focusing on Company Wealth, People, Growth & Value, and Customer Health.

A busy day was followed by a well-deserved glass of wine and an opportunity to chew over the conference takeaways at a networking event.

An optional second day’s training at Kimble’s office in San Francisco was also well attended. It offered deep-dive sessions into Kimble PSA’s rich functionality, showing how the application can help users to get closer to their own customers and improve business performance.
